Amber S. Mercer

Amber Mercer, MSN, APRN, CPNP, brings sincere dedication and understanding for patient care at SportsSafe Concussion Clinic. She believes that every child deserves access to compassionate pediatric care, and works hard to get to know each child and their families who entrust her with their child’s care to deliver them the best care possible. 

Education plays a central role in Amber’s approach to patient-centered care. She began her studies at The University of Texas at Austin, earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing before completing her Master of Science in Nursing at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and becoming a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. 

In 2012, Amber began working as a Registered Nurse at Pediatric Associates of Austin. In 2018, Amber continued her career at Pediatric Associates of Austin and SportsSafe Concussion Clinic as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. Being a part of the Pediatric Associates team for over 10 years has given her exceptional experience and knowledge in pediatric care and provided her with established relationships with patients and their families.

When not in the office, Amber enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and friends. She and her husband welcomed their first baby boy in 2022 and look forward to growing their family. Their yellow lab, Murphy, is appreciating all of the table scraps a toddler adds to the household! Together, they attend church and are involved in the support of RBI (Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities). Their family loves being outdoors, hiking, and traveling.
