Emily F. Woodard
MSN, APRN, CPNP, Credentialed ImPACT Consultant
With nearly two decades of experience as a certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, Emily Woodard, MSN, APRN, CPNP, helps children return to their normal activities as quickly as possible after suffering concussive injuries. She practices from the SportsSafe office in Austin, Texas. Emily is a native Texan and grew up in Sugar Land, a Houston suburb. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science in 1999 from Texas A&M University and then received a Master of Science in Nursing from The University of Texas at Austin.
Emily has a diverse work background including 10 years at a school-based clinic in Del Valle, 3 years at Child Incorporated in Austin, and 2 years as faculty in The UT School of Nursing Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Program. She has been a part of the Pediatric Associates of Austin Team since 2008 when she began working at After Hours Kids. Her role expanded in 2010 when SportsSafe Concussion Brain and Body was created by Dr. Aiello. She currently works at SportsSafe, After Hours Kids, and at Pediatric Associates of Austin; Emily loves the diversity of these three unique roles.
She married a wonderful man in January 2015 and inherited a remarkable teenage step-son. She and her family live in Georgetown and travel to Wimberley often to visit family. Emily is an active member of The Fellowship Round Rock, and in her free time, she enjoys traveling, mission trips, refinishing furniture, antique shopping, and spending time with friends and family.
Nikki Nutter was born and raised in Austin, where she attended The University of Texas at Austin and received her BSA in Biology. Throughout her time as an undergraduate, she worked as a medical assistant here at Pediatric Associates of Austin (PAA), SportsSafe pediatric concussion clinic, and After Hours Kids clinic. During that time, she realized how much she loved working with children and knew she'd found her purpose–to care for families and help them make informed decisions about their overall wellness.
Nikki then moved to San Antonio to complete her Master of Physician Assistant (PA) Studies from UT Health San Antonio’s PA Program. During her PA training, she completed her pediatric clinical rotations here with us, and considers herself lucky to have learned from the best and brightest Pediatricians and Nurse Practitioners here at PAA.
When not at work, she loves traveling, learning, doing anything active in Austin, and spending time with her loved ones, including her rescue pup.
